Lifewise’s sister trust, Airedale Property, has nearly completed its current social housing project in Auckland’s Glen Eden suburb. Set to be complete in September 2021, this building will provide 3 x one-bedroom apartments and 6 x two-bedroom apartments.
Here is where the Lifewise Youth Housing team will house rangatahi in need of our services, providing young people with a safe and comfortable home with wraparound support.
This project is Group Property Manager Ratenesh Sharma‘s last project with Airedale Property Trust. After a glorious 6.5 years with the sister trust of Lifewise and Methodist Mission Northern, Ratenesh will soon move to Sydney, Australia, to begin a new chapter in his life.
Ratenesh says, “I really valued delivering this project and taking it from architectural design through to completion whilst maintaining a small eco-footprint. In addition, I thoroughly enjoyed working with Mike Greer Homes, and I am thankful for the support I received from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
“Finally, I’d like to say a big thank you to East Coast Bays Methodist Parish, who provided funding. I’d also like to thank a long time standing APT supporter. Without their generous donation, this project would not have been possible.”
This social housing project is one of many wonderful collaborations and interconnections between the sister trusts Lifewise and Airedale Property Trust. Working together this way, creating such valuable properties, is what helps us serve the people in our communities.
