We are delighted to share with you the latest edition of our Lifewise Connect newsletter.

This issue is filled with inspiring and uplifting success stories, perfect for kickstarting your year. It highlights individuals who have made remarkable transformations in their lives, overcoming adversity and finding hope.

In this edition, you’ll read about the incredible resilience of people like Steven, who, with the support of our Peer Support Team, has turned his life around from homelessness to hope. You’ll also be moved by the story of Kate, a visually impaired mother who, thanks to the IF Funding through our Health & Disability service, was able to fully experience her daughter’s dance performance through an audio description.

Additionally, we are excited to announce the return of the Big Sleepout after a five-year break. This event has been vital in raising awareness and funds to combat homelessness in New Zealand, and we are eager to reignite the collective spirit of Kiwis to address this pressing issue.

Other highlights include:

  • The reopening of Myers Park Cottage, a historic venue now available for community events and activities.

  • The resilience of a rangatahi who overcame the challenges she faced with positivity and unwavering determination.
  • The inspiring work happening in our ECE preschool garden, where tamariki are learning about environmental stewardship and teamwork.

And much more!

We invite you to explore Lifewise Connect and discover more about these heartening stories and other exciting developments at Lifewise. We’d also love to hear your thoughts on the newsletter—please take a moment to complete our survey.

Last but certainly not least, we’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our supporters and donors from across New Zealand. None of this would have been possible without your generous support. Ngā mihi!
