“I used to turn my back on people that were downtrodden. I thought ‘I don’t wanna know you if you’re begging on the street.’
“And then, when my mum died that’s when I hit rock bottom. You end up on the street. You see it in a different light.”
“The name itself says it: merge communities, break down barriers, and bring people together. We have customers from all sorts of walks of life. The focus group is people who are isolated, marginalised. But we got people who wear suits and they go to big corporate offices and come here for lunch or breakfast. It’s good food here, and it is healthy food.”
